The Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs serves as the university’s chief academic officer, exercising broad academic leadership and having administrative responsibility for academic personnel, program, facilities, and services. Additional responsibilities include planning, development, evaluation, policy initiation and implementation, and budgeting within the Division of Academic Affairs. We began the new academic year together with our Week of Welcome, a time to connect, celebrate, and prepare for the semester ahead. The week opened with the President’s Convocation Ceremony and a shared lunch for all faculty and staff. Day two brought opportunities to learn and grow through the Faculty Resource Fair and professional development sessions. We wrapped up with New Faculty Orientation, hosted by the Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning, where we proudly welcomed 23 new colleagues into our community. With their arrival, our full-time faculty family now stands at 404 strong—ready to support one another and our students in the year ahead.
