The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs Administration (ORSPA) at Âé¶¹Ó³»­Ó°Òô is dedicated to advancing the University’s research enterprise by providing strategic guidance, administrative excellence, and regulatory stewardship to foster innovation and discovery that elevate Âé¶¹Ó³»­Ó°Òô as a leader in Texas and beyond.

PRIORITIES 

 

Strengthen research development and administrative capacity by modernizing systems, synergizing pre- and post-award operations, expanding staff expertise, and proactively presenting external funding opportunities to investigators to support scalable research growth.
Improve annual external grant submissions, with a focus on high-impact, collaborative, and multi-investigator projects that provide meaningful results to the community.
Continue to increase annual research expenditures to position the University as a strong R2 institution with an eye to the future.
Boost research output and visibility by increasing peer-reviewed publications, citations, and national research collaborations across all disciplines.
