Paint Your Future: A Resume Development Workshop

In this workshop presented by Sherwin-Williams, you'll learn the basics of resume writing, how to highlight your skills and experiences, how to tailor your resumes, tips on formatting, and resume pitfalls.

Mental Health and Well-Being in Higher Education: Mid-term Mentality

This Faculty Success Workshop is designed to equip college professors with the knowledge, tools, and strategies used to identify and support students with mental health challenges, create a supportive classroom environment, and promote overall well-being for both students and faculty.

Lamar's Woodwind Day will be held in the Jimmy Simmons Music Building from 1:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and will include workshops with guest artists, performances, and clinics. The event is free and open to the public. We encourage all middle and high schools students to attend.

The Spring Career Expo is open to all students and alumni of all majors seeking internships, co-ops, and full-time positions in a variety of fields. Appropriate attire in business casual or professional dress is required to attend this event. Bring copies of your resume to share with employers.

"The Price They Paid" with Jeff Forret
Date: Thursday, March 6, 5 - 6 p.m. Location: Tyrrell Historical Library
University Professor of History at LU and prize-winning author Jeff Forret will talk about his new book "The Price They Paid: Slavery, Shipwrecks, and Reparations before the Civil War" (New Press) at the Tyrrell Historical Library (695 Pearl Street in Beaumont). There will be a book signing and refreshments, and the event is free and open to all.

Apply for a Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF)
The Office of Undegraduate Research invites undergraduate students from all academic areas to submit proposals to the SURF program. You can enjoy a 10-week research experience, and receive a $2,700 stipend, $1,400 in research support, $500 in travel support, and free housing in our Cardinal Village during the summer.
