Âé¶¹Ó³»­Ó°Òô Alumni Community Service Project SETX Food Bank December 6, 2025

Âé¶¹Ó³»­Ó°Òô Alumni are invited to participate in a community service project at the Southeast Texas Food Bank on Saturday, December 6, 2025 from 8:00am-10:30am. Volunteers will help assemble meal boxes to be distributed through the food bank's mobile pantry and senior box program in the eight counties they serve. Advanced registration is required by Tuesday, November 25, 2025 as spaces are limited.

Ages 13 and up may volunteer and anyone ages 13-17 must be accompanied by a parent or other responsible adult. The Southeast Texas Food Bank is located at 3845 S M L King Jr Pkwy, Beaumont, TX 77705. We will volunteer in the Barbee Warehouse.

Donations of non-perishable food items are welcome. Suggest items include peanut butter, chili, canned stews, canned soups, canned lunch meat, canned tuna, canned chicken, canned fruits, canned vegetables, beans, rice, macaroni and cheese, cereal, full meals in a can/box that are shelf-stable, boxed or canned juices, and canned or shelf-stable milk. They are currently unable to accept glass jars, baby food, formula, and pet food.

Volunteers are asked to wear working clothes and closed toed shoes. Shorts should be knee length, and jewelry should be worn sparingly.

The Southeast Food Bank's mission is to lead the fight against hunger in Southeast Texas. In the State of Texas, 1 out of every 4 children lives in poverty and about 15% of the elderly in Southeast Texas live in poverty.
